Air Ambulance Card Launches iPhone App to Help Travelers Find Hospitals
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (July 26, 2010) – Medical evacuation membership program Air Ambulance Card has launched a free application for iPhone to help travelers find medical assistance away from home. Find-ER by Air Ambulance Card has a one touch hospital finder that locates the nearest medical centers, maps routes to them and provides contact information. The app contains a distress call function that allows travelers to call their designated emergency contact with the touch of a button. Find-ER also stores medical information and doctor and pharmacy contact information that doctors and paramedics can use to help treat a patient.
“We offer our members peace of mind that they can come home for treatment when serious injury or illness strikes on the road,” said Air Ambulance Card Managing Director Sam Jackson. “With Find-ER, we can extend some of that peace of mind to all travelers from the moment a problem arises.”
