In general, Airbnb is cheaper in the northern US. This applies to cities like:
- New York
- Portland, OR
- Washington, DC
Hotels typically offer better rates in the southern part of the US. This is true in cities such as:
- Austin, TX
- Nashville, TN
- New Orleans
- San Francisco
